independence day

15th August, the day itself has an ambience of festivity which is sufficient enough to ignite the patriotism in every Indian. Not only the whole team of EastSons GoodWorks but also its kids had been preparing for the Celebration in full spirit for the last few days. Everyone was very excited for the event.

The much awaited Independence Day finally arrived. Over enthusiastic children, wearing neat and clean clothes, well combed and with tattoos of the tricolor on their cheeks reached the venue well before time. Many of them offered their help in arranging the chairs, tables, mats, etc. A beautiful rangoli was made at the downsteps of the tricolor.

The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Mr. Vijay Kumar Mishra and Mrs. Rukmini Mishra, Founders, EastSons GoodWorks. It was then followed by National Anthem Singing and Prayer by children. The guests were welcomed by a solo Dance performance on a Welcome Song by “ Simmi”. Then followed four Dance Performances, all, amazingly choreographed and that too within a short span of time. Then some children raised slogans given by our Freedom Fighters, holding their images in their hands. The participants spell bound the audience with their performances and also energized them with patriotic fervor. Rizwana hosted the event. After all the performances, the children were given Prizes based on their earlier records and on that day’s performances as well. The categories of the Prize were really motivating and inspiring for these kids, such as The Best Child, The Best Handwriting, The Most Regular Child, The Most Disciplined Child and The Most Sincere Child. The Award of the Best Dance Performance was given to group of Priyanshu and Bittu who really did commendable job and their dance was undoubtedly worth – watching.

Last but not least, rather the most important, kids were distributed sweets and lunch packets and then left the venue with priceless smiles on their faces and sweet memories to cherish, in their hearts.
